SEMPIO is the brand name for quality for nearly half a century in Korea. Since the company started as a soy sauce manufacturer in 1946, SEMPIO has been the leader in soy sauce market in Korea. SEMPIO is holding over fifty percent of share in Korean soy sauce market and eighty percent in Seoul metropolitan We have been expanding soy sauce product facilities and we completed the construction of new production plant at Inchon in 1978. The new facilities are fully automated and the largest unit of soy sauce manufacturing facility in the world. Since the seventies, we have expanded our business into the other food products areas and the SEMPIO brand has been established not only for soybean- based products but also for noodles, vinegar, oil and other seasonings, canned fish and teas. We are producing these products except soybean-based one through subsidiaries and affiliated companies under our supervision, technical assistance and quality control.
